Shohei Ohtani arguably posted the greatest individual campaign in MLB history last year when he recorded 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases during the regular season. As per trading card manufacturer Topps, a collector from Dallas, TX, has pulled its autographed 1/1 dual relic card with bits of apparel from the game in which the two-way superstar completed his 50-50 feat last September.

Fans reacted to the news with their thoughts on social media. Most of their comments seemed to be of a sarcastic nature.

"The 1/1 signed Shohei Ohtani card with game-used batting glove & pant relics from his 50/50 game has been pulled by a collector in Dallas, TX," Topps announced on social media this Friday afternoon. "Congrats to the collector on the pull of a lifetime."

In their message on Instagram, Topps also asked the fans to estimate the worth of this one-of-a-kind card of Ohtani.

"At least $50," one fan answered sarcastically.

There were several other comments with an ironic tone.

"Regular people really got priced out of a hobby yet again," one fan noted.
"No random normal person would have access to this, let's be real," another fan said.
"My box didn't even come with a "guaranteed hit,"" another fan remarked.

The ball from Ohtani's 50th home run, which completed his 50-50 achievement on Sept. 19, 2024, was sold for around $4.4 million.

At the end of the season, Topps offered a special release set named Shohei Ohtani: 50/50 to commemorate the unique achievement of the Japanese superstar. The dual relic card recently found by the collector in Dallas, Texas, is one of three 1/1 cards in this set.

Two other unique pieces of this Shohei Ohtani Dynasty Black collection are still waiting to be found. One of these is a Logoman embedded with game-used pants. The other one is a relic card containing a piece of batting glove used by the Los Angeles Dodgers icon during the game against the Miami Marlins to bring up his landmark achievement.

Thus far, the most expensive card of Shohei Ohtani has been his 2018 Bowman Chrome Rookie Autographs Orange Refractors /25 graded BGS 10 Black Label, which sold for $533,140.
