Justin Verlander's wife, Kate Upton, provided a shocking revelation on the family connection in the story of a 'drunk and high' father who was jeopardizing the life of his 10-year-old daughter to be her sister's daughter.
About a month ago, Upton shared a post on social media asking people if a father's irresponsible actions — endangering the life of his daughter — warranted any criminal proceedings against him. In her latest post she provided details on the upates regarding her niece, as she wrote:
"Navigating this situation to protect my niece has been so challenging, especially knowing that her safety is ultimately in the hands of professionals in Brevard."
"The legal system can be so complex and in my opinion has raised alarming questions about whether the priority is protecting a father's privacy and privilige over the well-being of innocent children."
Kate Upton further shed light on how she, her sister, and Justin Verlander are trying to take control of the situation to ensure her niece's saftey. She wrote:
"My sister, Justin, and I are doing eveyrthing we can to protect her. My niece inspires me daily with her bravery and resilience after facing a situation no child should endure."
Upton concluded with thanking everyone who has been supporting her through this difficult period. She wrote:
"To everyone who has supported us, thank you- please keep her in your thoughts and continue to advocate for justice for children who cannot protect themselves."
Kate Upton clarified on her scary story, to be not about Justin Verlander and their daughter Genevieve
Kate Upton had earlier clarified her scary story from a month ago to be not about her husband, Justin Verlander, and their 6-year-old daughter, Genevieve:
"Hi everyone, I posted a scary emergency situation on my story and I know many of you have been concerned. But, a few people mistakenly thought the situation involved my husband.
"To calrify: We do not have a 10-year old. Our daughter is 6, and Justin would never put her in such a terrifying or life-threatning situation. He is a wonderful father whose unwavering priority is ensuring our daughter is safe, loved, and protected every single day."
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander dated for several years before finally getting engaged during springtime in 2016. The couple then got married just days after Verlander won his maiden World Series with the Astros in 2017.
The duo got married in an intimate outdoor wedding in Tuscany, Italy, on November 4, 2017, and welcomed their daughter Genevieve a year later on November 7, 2018.
