Donovan Solano reportedly signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Seattle Mariners. Solano's wife, Laura, was grateful for the contract and penned a heartfelt message to God on social media.
On Monday, Laura shared the Instagram post of the Mariners announcing their acquisition of Solano on her Instagram story, captioning it:
"From Your Hand My Jesus (translated from Spanish)."
Donovan Solano also shared a video of changing his Instagram bio by tagging the Seattle Mariners Instagram profile.
Solano played for the Padres in 2024. A versatile infielder capable of playing in first, second and third base, the Venezuelan slugger primarily played third base for the Padres due to Manny Machado's injury.
Though he played only 92 games for the Friars, the 2024 season was his most fruitful in terms of home runs. The veteran slugger hit eight homers, one more than his previous best, in 2021 when he played for the San Francisco Giants.
Having already played for the Yankees, Marlins, Reds, Padres, Giants and the Twins, the Mariners will be Solano's eighth team in the MLB. Even though the Mariners have one of the best pitching rotations, batting has been worrisome. A player of Solano's caliber, who can put the ball into play, will help.
Donovan Solano's wife shares adorable family snaps
Donovan Solano married Laura in 2013, and the pair has three boys: Donovan, Enoc, and Jeremias. Laura doesn't have a large social media following, but she does routinely post glimpses from her life on Instagram.
On Saturday, Laura shared an adorable three-snap post on her Instagram, captioning it:
"Late post. . My everything in one photo." (translated from Spanish)
In the first snap, Laura and her husband shared a passionate kiss with a Christmas tree in the background. Solano donned casual chic attire while his wife wore a stunning V-neck long-sleeve party dress with pearls.
The second snap was similar to the first one, minus the kiss as the couple looked into the camera while their three children joined them for the third and final snap. Incidentally, all three wore the same T-shirts, albeit in different sizes.
