Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy hit out at critics after the team signed one of the best left-handed pitchers in the league, Blake Snell, last week. The Dodgers signed Snell on a $182 million deal over five years, making one of the biggest splashes in the offseason so far. However, the two-time Cy Young winner's move to LA irritated opposition fans as they seemingly blamed the Dodgers for ruining the league by splashing big money on star players.

While Snell's move to the reigning World Series winners didn't sit well with opposition fans, Max Muncy couldn't be happier with the arrival of another star to LA.

In Tuesday's episode of "Foul Territory," Max Muncy said:

"Everyone else can cry, I'm happy. I got a second World Series ring, I'd like to get maybe a third or fourth and that's one of the things where let everyone else cry about it as long as we keep winning it makes me happy and bring in those players gives us a better chance."

One of the reasons for the backlash from fans was the fact that Blake Snell's contract has a deferral, similar to Shohei Ohtani's record-breaking deal last year.

Although not as substantial, the Dodgers will be deferring one-third of Snell's contract. They will reportedly defer $66 million of his $182 million through 2046.

Snell had signed a two-year, $62 million deal with the San Francisco Giants last offseason. However, he exercised his opt-out clause after an injury-riddled campaign in 2024, electing for free agency.

Max Muncy unfazed by rumors of Dodgers potentially signing Nolan Arenado

During the episode "Foul Territory" host AJ Pierzynski asked Max Muncy's opinion on the rumors of veteran third baseman Nolan Arenado joining the Dodgers. The Dodgers infielder said he was not concerned by anyone joining the team as long as he is part of the roster and gets to contribute.

He doesn't mind switching positions if the eight-time All-Star did join the NL West team.

"As long as I get to stay around, I don't care who they bring in," Muncy said while addressing the rumors.

Max Muncy made history for the Dodgers during the NLCS against the New York Mets. He became the first player in MLB history to reach base in 12 consecutive plate appearances in a single postseason after he was walked thrice and hit a single in NLCS Game 4.
