Noah Syndergaard, a MLB starting pitcher trying to make a return to the mound, last pitched for the Cleveland Guardians in 2023, He has started to get more political in his views on social media.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was nominated by President Donald Trump as the US health secretary and is awaiting approval from the Senate. RFK is rallying support for his nomination, and the former New York Mets All-Star has given his endorsement.
Noah Syndergaard shared a photo to his Instagram story on Tuesday of himself attending a rally in support of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Syndergaard wore a tuxedo and a bow tie, while the US health secretary nominee is also in the picture.
The caption in the photo was #MAHA, while RFK Jr. was also tagged in the photo. The #MAHA caption refers to Kennedy's slogan:
"Make America Healthy Again"
Noah Syndergaard has gone 59-47 with a 3.71 ERA throughout his career, but his best years were with the New York Mets in the National League.
The Cleveland Guardians released Syndergaard on Aug. 31, 2023, and he hasn't found another job since that time. Syndergaard was once a Cy Young contender each season, but injuries derailed his career.
Noah Syndergaard desperate to return to old form
MLB teams have been hesitant to sign Noah Syndergaard to a new contract, and it's starting to look like he will never make a return to MLB. Syndergaard hasn't been in the news much of late in baseball, but his desire to regain his old form was clear during the 2023 season.
After a rough start for the Los Angeles Dodgers at the end of May 2023, Syndergaard was asked about trying to get his career back on track. Dodgers Nation shared an exchange with reporters on June 1, 2023, where Syndergaard said:
"I would give my hypothetical first-born to be the old me again. I'll do anything possible to get back to that.
