There is perhaps no son of a former MLB star who is more famous and successful right now as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The Toronto Blue Jays first baseman came into the league with a runaway train of hype and although his team has yet to make much damage in the postseason, individually, he has become a true superstar.
Over the course of his six-year MLB career, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has clobbered a whopping 153 home runs, however it was his long-ball on Thursday night that might be one of his most special. Believe it or not, but Thursday night's home run against the Baltimore Orioles was the first one that his Hall of Fame father Vladimir Guerrero was in attendance to see live.

The four-time All-Star said that while he knew the ball he hit was going to go over the fence as soon as he touched it, he didn't instantly clue in that it was a milestone moment for his family.
"Not until I touched home plate and I pointed at him was I kind of like, 'Wow. Finally, he saw one,'" Vladdy said of the historic home run through a Blue Jays interpreter.
It may be tough to believe that Vladimir Guerrero had never been present for one of his son's many home runs, however, it was a heart-warming moment between the Blue Jays star and the Hall of Fame slugger. That being said, it could become a regular occurence for the former Montreal Expos star as one of his other sons, Pablo Guerrero, signed with the Texas Rangers as an international free agent.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been a man possessed at the plate lately for the Blue Jays
In many ways, the 2024 campaign for the Toronto Blue Jays has been a disaster. Stars such as Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman and Alejandro Kirk have struggled to make an impact, and the team finds itself on the outside of the postseason looking in.
All that said, Vladdy has proven yet again why he is the face of the franchise and why it would be in the team's best interest to lock him up to a long-term contract. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been one of the hottest hitters in the majors recently. Over his last 25 games, Vladdy has posted a .419 batting average with 10 home runs and 24 RBIs.
