Freddie Freeman and his family move back to Los Angeles after playing the 94th MLB All-Star Game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The first baseman to represent the National League at the Midsummer Classic was cheered upon by his wife Chelsea and his three sons: Charlie, Brandon John and Maximus Turner.
On Friday, Chelsea posted a photo, suggesting they were traveling back to LA after the All-Star festivities. All three boys had LA written on their T-shirts, to suggest the same, as did Chelsea's caption, which read:
"Just a Mom and her three boys following Daddy across the country," she wrote in her caption.
The family enjoyed their time at the All-Star Game. While Chelsea was busy cheering up National League stars from the suit, Charlie Freeman was actively engaged in field as a 'towel boy.'
Freddie Freeman's son Charlie gets to be 'towel boy' to Home Run Derby champion
During this year's Home Run Derby, the Dodgers had a representative in Teoscar Hernandez. Ahead of the contest, Hernandez asked Charlie if he would be his towel boy during the contest. Freddie Freeman's son obliged.
As the contest went on, Chelsea, from the stands, captured Charlie doing his duty as a 'towel boy.' In one of the images shared, Charlie was among a group of star-studded circle including Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto, Hernandez and Tyler Glasnow. In one other snap, Shohei and Charlie shared a fist pump.
Teoscar Hernandez went the distance, surviving the first round, then beating Phillies' slugger Alec Bohm in the semis and then finally beating Bobby Witt Jr. to become the Home Run Derby winner.
In the All-Star Game, Freddie Freeman came out of the reserve list as a pinch hitter but went hitless in his only plate appearance as the NL All-Stars went on to lose the game 5-3.
On Friday, the Dodgers started their second half post-All-Star with the first game against the Boston Red Sox at Dodger Stadium. Following this three-game series, the Dodgers will make their stand for a four-game set against the San Francisco Giants.
