New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor missed out on this year's Midsummer Classic after his name was not announced last Sunday. Despite having outstanding stats, which include batting .251, 15 home runs, 16 stolen bases and 45 RBIs, Lindor was not picked ahead of starter Trea Turner, Elly De La Cruz and CJ Abrams on the National League team.
Lindor's wife, Katia, reposted a stat from SNY that showed the Mets star making franchise history as he became the first player to have 25 doubles and 15-15 before the All-Star break.
"Forever our All-Star," Katia wrote in her story.
Earlier this season, Lindor was accompanied by Katia and their two daughters, namely, Kalina Zoe (born in November 2020) and Amapola Chloe (June 2023) for the trip to London. The Mets and Phillies split the two game series, and off the field, the Lindor family roamed the streets of London and also made their way to the iconic Wimbledon court.
Francisco Lindor's wife shares how she manages various roles of her life
Katia is more than just a baseball wife. She is mother to two daughters and also runs a successful podcast, "The Un-a-Parent," and has been releasing episodes after first launching it in August 2022. In the podcast, she uncovers various aspects of parenting with new guests regularly.
Recently, in a Q&A session she conducted on social media, one fan asked how she manages various roles of her life, to which she answered:
"I basically do little else lol between mom life, baseball life and podcasting, I struggle to find time for much else. I try to not overextend myself; finding balance is definitely a challenge but it's [key emoji]."
In another question, one fan asked for an advice to first time mothers.
"I've always had a pretty clean + healthy diet which helps. I also latch my bby very frequently which naturally increases milk production. Eating a balanced diet opting for protein rich foods is important while breastfeeding," she wrote in reply.
She also mentioned that she can't travel without her two kids, a pair of headphones and some snacks.
While Francisco Lindor may have missed out on making the All-Star team, his household already has an all-round star for him to learn from.
