New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor smashed his 25th home run of the season against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. Lindor's wife, Katia, was in the stands at Citi Field for the game, which ended 4-3 in favor of the home team. Lindor's solo shot came in the third inning against Orioles starter Cole Irvin.
Katia posted glimpses from the game on her social media. She was in the suites with her daughter, Amapola Chloe.
In her posts, she also hit critics with MLB analyst Sarah Langs' post, showcasing the consistency of Francisco Lindor. Per Langs' post, Lindor is the only shortstop in the history of the MLB to have three seasons with 25+ home runs and 25+ steals. This led Katia to write:
"In case anyone doubted how consistently good he is," she wrote.
Moreover, she shared after-game snaps of how Mets have emerged triumphant in close games in recent years. Wednesday's game was another close game, with Jesse Winker's homer in the ninth giving the Mets a walk-off victory.
"These last few games ending in walk-off home runs have nearly been giving me heart-attacks but what an exciting way to end a game," she wrote.
Katia and her daughters at Yankee Stadium to cheer Francisco Lindor
Lindor couple and their daughters, Kalina and Amapola, have often been spotted cheering for the shortstop. Earlier last month during the Subway Series between Mets and the Yankees, the family was seated near the Mets dugout.
Every time Lindor would go on the batting deck, he would adore his two daughters. This was followed by his dominant performance, where he hit three home runs in a 12-3 victory.
Even during the press conference, Francisco Lindor gushed about having his daughters there.
"My daughters, that was pretty cool. That was really, really cool to be able to see my wife and my daughters and interact with them in the game and just show love to my daughters and my wife. I do it every day, but when they're that close, it's pretty cool. I was happy to have my girls there," Lindor said.
Both on and off the field, Lindor is seemingly having his best life.
