NY Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor was surprisingly snubbed from an All-Star nod on Sunday, and his wife Katia Lindor was not ready to accept the decision as she joined an NYM fan's outrage to make an effective case for him. The Mets announced that only first baseman Pete Alonso was the sole All-Star selection from the ballclub this year, snubbing both Lindor and Brandon Nimmo.
After Francisco Lindor's omission, Katia reposted a video by a Mets fan making a case for reconsideration of Lindor's name for the All-Star game, as the caption of the Instagram story read:
"All Star him right now"
Katia and Francisco connected on Instagram, and the duo, after months of texting, finally met each other and soon started dating. She is a podcast host and started her famous podcast 'The Un-a-Parent' in August 2022. This show discusses the unapparent truths of parenting and providing a nurturing environment for your kids.
The couple welcomed their first daughter on November 4, 2020, and named her Kalina Zoe. They got married a year later, on December 16, 2021, at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida. They welcomed their second daughter, Amapola Chloe, on June 17, 2023. The family actively supports Francicso during his endeavors inside the diamond.
Lindor has been in decent form this season with the NY Mets and leads some of the important offensive stats for the ballclub alongside OF Brandon Nimmo.
Francisco Lindor leads the major offensive stats for the Mets this season
Francisco Lindor leads the mets roster in batting average (.250) and hits (90), while OF Nimmo leads the roster in RBIs (53) and OBP (.368). Mets only All-Star selection 1B Pete Alonso leads the lineup in home runs with 18, while Lindor is sitting in second, trailing by three with 15 home runs so far this campaign.
Francisco also boasts the third-best OPS in the unit, with over 80 games played this season, trailing only Brandon Nimmo and Alonso. Francisco Lindor also leads the team in extra base hits with 41 so far in the season and has been decent with infield defense. So, his omission from the NL All-Star team came as a surprise to many.
