On the field, Francisco Lindor had a fantastic year, finishing the regular season with a .273 batting average, 33 home runs and 91 RBIs. Along with his obvious talents with the bat, Lindor is arguably one of the best players in his position defensively.
His excellent performances were recognized by the BBWAA, as he was voted as the second most valuable player in the NL for 2024, behind Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani.
Lindor and the Mets also managed to make it to the postseason by splitting a double header against the Atlanta Braves on the last day of the regular season. The Mets managed to make it to the NLCS before eventual World Series champions the Los Angeles Dodgers brought their dream run to an end.
