Francisco Lindor had the game of a lifetime as the Mets shortstop's grand slam propelled the New Yorkers to the NLCS with a 4-1 victory over the Phillies in NLDS Game 4.

On the pitching side, Jose Quintana, Edwin Diaz, and others didn't give up a single run, with the Phillies' only score coming from a fielder's choice by Bryce Harper.

Lindor's grand slam came in the bottom of the sixth inning off Carlos Estevez, who had allowed the Mets shortstop an RBI double in the previous game.

It was Lindor's second grand slam in the postseason, with the first coming during the 2017 ALDS against the Yankees when he was with the Cleveland Indians.

Mets' starting pitcher Jose Quintana didn't allow a run despite giving up five hits over five innings. He also struck out eight. Edwin Diaz closed the game with two strikeouts in one inning.

Pete Alonso, who homered in Game 3, had two hits but couldn’t score and was walked once.

The wives of Lindor, Diaz, Quintana, and Alonso penned heartfelt reactions on social media, celebrating the victory of their husbands' team.

Lindor's wife Katia shared many stories on Instagram, including the video of her husband's grand slam with the caption:

Francisco Lindor's wife Katia teary-eyed after Mets win

Francisco Lindor has been the only threat to Shohei Ohtani's third MVP title, and he showed why. Even though the odds are against him, many still believe Lindor's overall contributions equate more than Ohtani's role as the designated hitter.

MVP chants reverberated across the Citi Field multiple times whenever Francisco Lindor had a great game. Similar was when he hugged his wife after the NLDS Game 4, which Lindor's wife shared on Instagram.

Katia Lindor seemed emotional about the moment as she shared it again via Instagram story with teary-eyed and love emojis.

Next up for Francisco Lindor and the Mets will likely be Shohei Ohtani's Dodgers. They are leading 2-1 in the NLDS against the Padres.

However, nothing is set in stone. The Padres have enough star power in hitting and pitching to win two consecutive games.
