Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia, is an avid Mets star shortstop and is usually present in the stands during gamedays at Citi Field. She was present inside the stadium to cheer for her husband and the Mets squad on Friday night for the series opener between NYM and the Miami Marlins.
At Citi Field's exclusive club, she came across another Mets fan, famed Hollywood actor, Jared Leto. Katia shared a picture with Leto on her Instagram story with the caption:
"Big @mets fans @jaredleto."
Katia and Francisco Lindor met on Instagram when Francisco came across one of her posts and slided into her DMs. He shared this story with the New York Post in 2022:
"I messaged her on Instagram. Her picture popped up, and I was like, 'This girl is beautiful!' "
He added:
"We talked for three months, and then I met her in Arizona 'cause I was out there for spring training. We just hung out, and I was like, 'I think she's the one.' At first, I was a little bit like, 'Ahh, I don't want to really commit,' but I knew that she was the one."
The couple embraced parenthood with their first daughter, Kalina Zoe, on Nov. 4, 2020. The duo got married a year later at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida, on Dec. 16, 2021.
They embraced parenthood for the second time with the birth of their daughter, Amapole Chloe, on June 17, 2023. The Lindors reside in Queens, New York.
Mets star Francisco Lindor opened up about how good communication helped build strong ties with wife, Katia
In an exclusive interview with Haute Living, Francisco Lindor reflected on nurturing ties with his wife Katia with good and open communication:
"Just sitting on the couch with my wife is quality time. We can be right next to each other, watching a dumbass show, and that's quality time.
"Her quality time looks different, but I have learned to be able to communicate and say, 'Hey, I need, I need some time, some quiet time, all to myself.' And she understands."
He added:
"From what I've seen, I've learned that we definitely need to put work into growing together, because if we start to grow in different ways, that's a problem."
Both Katia and Francisco Lindor pay heed to each other's needs and problems as they co-parent their two daughers.
