On Sunday, New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia Reguero, took to Instagram to share a story featuring her husband, as the couple enjoyed a romantic 'hockey game date,' turning up to Madison Square Garden to attend the NHL game between the New York Rangers and the Colorado Avalanche.
The game turned out to be a thriller, and was well worth the price of admission. Unfortunately for home fans, the Rangers ended the first period down one goal, and were never able to make up for the deficit, losing 5-4.
The Rangers are fifth in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference, with a 24-21 record. Their opponents, the Colorado Avalanche, have faired slightly better, and currently sit fourth in the Central Division of the Western Conference with a 29-20 record.
