Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman's wife, Chelsea, was in the stands to support the first baseman on Saturday. Chelsea enjoyed her time with her loved ones during a thrilling encounter at Dodger Stadium.
For a second consecutive game, the Dodgers needed to come from behind to win against the visiting Boston Red Sox. The game was on knife's edge as the Dodgers claimed the win in the 11th inning.
Chelsea was accompanied by Freddie Freeman's sister-in-law, Carol Freeman, as the Freeman family shared their excitement after the Dodgers clinched their first series after the All-Star break.
Chelsea Freeman tied the knot with Freddie (then with the Atlanta Braves) in 2014, after the duo started dating in 2011. The power couple has three children together, Charlie, Brandon John and Maximus Turner.
Chelsea Freeman blown away by Freddie Freeman's work ethic
Chelsea has been an ever-present figure in the stands, rooting for the Dodgers star. She accompanied Freddie to the 2024 All-Star game at Globe Life Field and penned a heartfelt note on his eighth Midsummer Classic nod.
"Forever blown away by your work ethic, your discipline and your drive to be the best that you can possibly be. 8 All-Star selections and over a decade of doing this crazy baseball life together," Chelsea wrote in the caption. "I could not be more proud of you, babe! Our boys adore you and so do I. Cheers to an amazing first half of season. Thank you God for this amazing life. Only great things ahead!"
Freddie Freeman's wife celebrated the Dodgers star's clutch grand slam in the series opener against the Red Sox on Friday. She also took a subtle dig at the Red Sox for intentionally walking Will Smith to load up the bases for Freddie.
The Red Sox seemingly didn't learn from their mistake as they walked superstar slugger Shohei Ohtani in the 11th inning on Saturday to load up the bases for Smith. The Dodgers catcher made them pay with a walk-off hit to breach the five-man infield and seal a dramatic 7-6 win.
