LA Dodgers superstar Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea was joined by social media influencer Amanda Cerny for the duel against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. They were treated to a blockbuster conclusion at Dodger Stadium as Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts homered in the final inning for a 6-5 walk-off win.
Both Amanda and Chelsea enjoyed their day in the stands. On Instagram, the Youtube star posted a series of stories featuring herself and her 'baseball partner'.
"I only watch baseball with Chelsea," Cerny captioned one of the stories.
After the game-winning back-to-back sole home runs, Cerny and Chelsea celebrated along with a buoyant Dodger Stadium crowd.
First Ohtani came up to the plate with the score 5-4 against the Dodgers. He belted a solo shot to right-center field on a 2-1 count. This was the Dodgers superstar's 53rd home run of the season in a game where he also stole 2 bases earlier.
With the score tied, Betts swung at a 100 mph sinker on a 0-2 count that sailed past the left field fence for a walk-off win. This was the 8x All-Star's first walk-off homer while at Los Angeles. The Dodgers improved to a 93-63 record, keeping them 3.0 games ahead of the San Diego Padres, who they face in the next series.
Amanda Cerny's wholesome wish after Chelsea and Freddie's son's recovery
Chelsea and Freddie Freeman had a tough time back at the end of July when their son Max was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre syndrome and was admitted to the ICU for eight days because of it.
After Max made a speedy recovery and came back home, Chelsea had put up a post on Instagram giving an update on his situation. Like other personalities, Amanda Cerny commented on the post with a heartwarming reaction to a video of her friend's three sons.
"So SO SO happy to hear this news! The last video is soooooo sweet”- Cerny had commented.
With the Dodgers headed towards the postseason, Cerny might be a regular feature cheering on for the franchise alongside her close companion.
