Los Angeles Dodger first baseman Freddie Freeman had one of the most memorable years of his MLB career after a historic run in the postseason earned him a World Series MVP title with the Dodgers winning their eighth World Series.

Despite capping off the season with his second World Series ring, Freeman didn't have it all smooth sailing in 2024. Following the All-Star break in July, his youngest son, Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a neurological disorder.

Max was admitted to a pediatric ICU and was discharged after a week to continue his recovery at his home. Freddie's wife Chelsea updates about Max's condition frequently and she shared one on Tuesday in her Instagram story.

She captioned her story:

"Max has been doing SO amazing. He has had such big improvements even in the last week. I'm so proud of him and all his hard work in PT. It's been a challenging 6 months but he is getting stronger and stronger every day. #maxstrong #gbsawareness."

Chelsea also shared the food she uses to aid in Max's recovery as the youngest of three sons was seen helping his mother with a special smoothie.

"My fave healthy hack is adding frozen organic spinach in the boys smoothie every day. They are so picky with food right now but they always love their smoothies. We make smoothie pops with the leftovers."
