Los Angeles has been gripped by a tragic brush fire in the Pacific Palisades. The fire reportedly started on Tuesday morning and spread to nearly 3,000 acres, per the latest reports.
The fire has caused destruction in Southern California, with reports of 30,000 people fleeing their homes as the fire threatened more than 10,000 homes in the area.
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman sent her prayer for the people affected by the fire as she wrote a 5-word message in her Instagram story, sharing the news.
"Please pray for Pacific Palisades," she captioned her story with a 'heartbroken' emoji.
The fire broke out along Piedra Morada Drive in Pacific Palisades and spread rapidly due to bustling winds reaching 50 to 70 mph. The strong winds also interrupted the efforts of firefighters trying to spread water or flame retardant aerially by helicopters.
According to latest reports, the fire is expected to spread further with winds expected to reach around 60 mph on Wednesday. Evacuation orders have been issued in the locality, with the authorities trying to get the situation under control.

Freddie Freeman and Chelsea's youngest son Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological disorder, after the All-Star break in July. Max was admitted to a pediatric ICU and was released after a week to continue his recovery at home.
The Dodgers first baseman also struggled with ankle injury before the postseason but played through pain, helping the team to their eighth World Series title in October.
Freddie Freeman was named the World Series MVP, and following his triumph, the All-Star slugger underwent right ankle surgery in December. He is expected to join the Dodgers team when they report for spring training in February.
