Freddie Freeman and his Los Angeles Dodgers recently dropped Game 2 of the National League Championship Series tilt against the New York Mets, 3-7. While the star first baseman and his squad could be strategizing on how to bounce back as the series shifts to New York, his wife Chelsea has figured out a way to keep their children preoccupied.
A recent snippet Chelsea shared on social media site Instagram shows their sons Maximus and Brandon attending a pizza-making class during Game 2 of the NLCS. The two children were wearing complete uniforms befitting that of a chef.
Chelsea and Freddie Freeman's two younger children, along with the eldest Charlie, have been front and center in their parents' socials as the family continues to update the fans about their latest activities.
Freddie Freeman defies expectations amid injuries
Over a fortnight ago, Freddie Freeman injured his ankle in the Dodgers' final home stand of the regular season. He battled through the pain and returned in the NLDS against the San Diego Padres even though the regular recovery time for the injury can take up to six weeks. In Game 2 of the NLDS, he exited the game as he aggravated the injury.
However, fast forward to the present day, and the star first baseman is still defying the odds by continuing to play through the discomfort. In a recent interview, Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy expressed his amazement about Freeman.
"It's hard to put into words, exactly, what it meant to see Freddie doing that," Muncy said.
In the team's Game 1 NLCS victory over the New York Mets, Muncy smashed a two-run single to open the scoring for the Dodgers. As seen in the video, Freeman was hobbling as he rounded the bases to score.
