Adam Duvall, Eddie Rosario, and Jorge Soler are all back with the Atlanta Braves after brief stints elsewhere. MLB broadcaster Bill Shanks pointed out that the return of the team's former players is indicative of a trend that may eventually see Freddie Freeman back in a Braves uniform.

Shanks discussed this pattern on X.

"So there is a pattern here… Adam Duvall, Eddie Rosario, and now Jorge Soler all left the Braves and came back," said Bill Shanks on his Twitter handle.
"And remember, Freddie Freeman will be back to DH in 2028 after his sentence with the Dodgers expires. Eat your heart out Luis Polonia and Greg Colbrunn!" he added.

Shanks suggested that Freeman’s time in Los Angeles could be temporary. Luis Polonia and Greg Colbrunn were mentioned as both players had multiple stints with the Braves.

After signing with the Miami Marlins in February 2021, Adam Duvall was traded to the Atlanta Braves after only five months. He remained with the team until January 2023 before signing a one-year deal with the Red Sox. Duvall is now in his third stint with the Braves after agreeing to a deal this past March.

Eddie Rosario, who played an important role for the Braves during their 2021 postseason run, came from the Cleveland Guardians and added depth in the outfield plus his clutch hitting. Similarly, Jorge Soler, who was named 2021 World Series MVP and regarded as a legend of the team, also returned to Atlanta via trade. He signed with the Marlins in 2022 and had a brief stint with the San Francisco Giants before being traded on Monday.

Braves reacquire World Series MVP Jorge Soler in 4-player deal with Giants

In a major move before the trade deadline, the Atlanta Braves brought back 2021 World Series MVP Jorge Soler in a four-player deal with the Giants. The Braves also acquired right-handed reliever Luke Jackson while left-handed pitcher Tyler Matzek and Minor League infielder Sabin Ceballos were sent to the Giants.

Soler is 32 years old and is in the first of the three-year, $42 million contract he signed with the Giants. Despite his struggles at the plate this season, hitting 240/.330/.419 with just 12 home runs in 93 games, Atlanta is banking on Soler bouncing back and returning to his power-hitting. In his last season for the Miami Marlins, he had a batting average of .853 OPS and 36 home runs.

With this move, Atlanta has strengthened its lineup for the playoff race while also bringing back past Braves members who have already proven their worth to the club.
