Garrett Crochet is a left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. Even though Crochet has not yet pitched for the Red Sox, he was able to get a taste of what the fans are like.
Fenway Fest took place on Saturday and Sunday, and Crochet was in attendance along with his wife Rachel.
The Red Sox initially posted a photo of the Fenway Fest event to their Instagram account which was then shared by Rachel Crochet on her story.
"Such a special weekend ❤️"- Rachel Crochet IG caption
While Garrett Crochet or his wife Rachel are not seen in the photo, the caption makes it clear that the Crochet family enjoyed their first event with the Red Sox. This season will mark a big change for Crochet after spending last season on a team that lost 121 games, the Chicago White Sox.
Garrett Crochet Discussed Future with Wife Rachel
Garrett Crochet anticipated getting traded from the White Sox. With that in mind, he started discussing potential landing spots with wife Rachel, and Boston was always at the top of the list.
On January 11, he sat down with Tom Caron of NESN and opened up about his discussions with Rachel.
"Going back to last trade deadline, it was something that I was kind of expecting; the writing was on the wall, so to speak," he said. "I remember, right when the offseason hit, me and my wife were having a conversation about teams that could possibly be in the mix. The one that jumped out to me was the Red Sox, and it was something that we were hoping for."
The Red Sox fans showered Crochet with praise when he was introduced at Fenway Fest, marking the start of his time in Boston on a high note.
