Philadelphia Phillies catcher Garrett Stubbs is set to tie the knot with fiancé Evyn Murray at some point this winter.
On Sunday, Murray took to Instagram to post a snap of a cozy moment with her partner, hinting that their big day might be this month.
"December sounds like a good month to get married to the loml," Murray captioned.
The pair got engaged last December. They reportedly began dating in early 2021 and regularly feature on each other's social media accounts.
On the field, Stubbs had a decent year in 2024. Acting as the backup to regular catcher JT Realmuto, Stubbs batted .207, hitting one home run and recording 11 RBIs.
Garrett Stubbs' fiancé Evyn Murray celebrates bridal shower
With Evyn Murray's wedding with Philadelphia Phillies catcher Garrett Stubbs on the horizon, the partners of other Phillies players came together to celebrate the bride-to-be before she embarks on a new phase in life. JT Realmuto's better half, Lexi, was the one who planned the event.
Murray took to Instagram to post a series of snaps from the party in September.
"let’s tacooooo bout all the love I’m feeling!! 🫶🏼 so thankful for all my Phillies girls & the biggest shoutout to @ltrealmuto for putting on the cutest shower/fiestaaaa before the big fiesta! 🥹" Murray captioned.
Despite a strong regular season that culminated with an NL title, Stubbs and the Phillies eventually slumped to a disappointing exit from the playoffs at the hands of a spirited New York Mets team in the NLDS.
Although the campaign did not end the way they wanted it to, Stubbs can take his mind away from the sport and spend time with his wife-to-be. However, the focus will shift back to baseball in the new year with spring training set to begin in early February. Stubbs and the Phillies will look to right the wrongs of last season and finally bring the World Series title back to Philadelphia for the first time since 2008.
