While Freddie Freeman is busy helping the Los Angeles Dodgers, his son, Charlie, is slowly following in the All-Star's footsteps. Freeman is currently on tour in Colorado to play against the Rockies, and his wife, Chelsea, made sure to capture every on-field moment of Charlie.
Charlie plays for the Orange County Crush in Little League. In Monday's game, when he took the mound for his team, a proud Chelsea captured the moment and shared it on Instagram, saying:
“Getting ready to deal at mini Dodger Stadium,” she wrote in her story.
She also uploaded a clip of Charlie celebrating with his teammates after winning the game.
Freddie and Chelsea started dating in 2011 and tied the knot in November 2014. The Freeman family welcomed Charlie in 2016, Brandon John in 2020 and Maximus Turner in 2021.
Shortly after winning the World Series with the Atlanta Braves, Freddie moved to LA and joined the Dodgers where Charlie found Carley Kershaw, Clayton Kershaw’s son, and quickly bonded like their dads.
Freddie Freeman’s eldest Charlie poses with his Little League Trophy
Charlie Freeman shares Freddie Freeman's baseball talent, though he plays as a pitcher in Little League, unlike his slugger dad. However, this doesn't diminish Charlie's leadership skills inherited from Freddie.
Last month, he led his team, the Orange County Crush, to victory in the Irvine PONY Baseball - Memorial Day Tournament. His celebration moments were captured by his mother, Chelsea, and shared on her Instagram.
“Let the Freedom Ring,” she wrote in the caption.
In the photos, Charlie is seen wearing a red jersey, hat and shoes with white pants, posing with the Little League trophy. Chelsea also included a team celebration photo and a mother-son photo in her post.
Looking into the future, if Charlie continues to pursue his passion for baseball, he might emulate his dad's 2021 iconic victory pose.
