Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers have bounced back after some poor form, winning three games in a row. Atop the NL West with a 36-22 record, the gap between them and the second-placed, 29-28 San Francisco Giants, is looking stable, even though the Giants are 7-3 over their last 10.
Away from the field, Freeman's wife, Chelsea, took to Instagram stories to share a photo of her younger self, noting the resemblance between herself and her eldest son, Charlie.
"Girl Charlie?!"
On Tuesday, Chelsea Freeman posted some photos of Charlie looking delighted after winning a Little League trophy, which she captioned:
"Let Freedom Ring 🇺🇸💍⚾️🏆 #memorialday #grateful #champion (p.s. Max insisted on wearing Charlie’s old hat🥹)."
That has only added to Dodgers fans' hopes of one day seeing Charlie follow in his father's footsteps, and it will be interesting to see if that does one day occur.
Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea delighted with Charlie's Little League triple
Chelsea Freeman shared her delight with Charlie's performance in Little League, and shared a clip on her IG stories on Wednesday to give him a shout-out:
“Charlie with a Triple, 3-3 today. And started an amazing double play today to end the game with a W. Never thought it was possible to be at more baseball games than I’ve been in the last 12 years but here I am."
Through Chelsea and Freddie Freeman's social media, fans have been able to get glimpses of Charlie growing up and see him honing his skills at baseball. As was seen in 2020, some lessons are best learned the hard way, as Freddie took Charlie's pitch for a home run in the backyard.
While Freddie Freeman's career is ongoing and the Dodgers' star is arguably at his peak, Charlie could be looking to one day emulate his father. Charlie has a say in Freeman's walk-up music, which is "Monaco" by Bad Bunny due to the youngster's love of the artist.
