After being unable to secure an MLB contract for the 2024 season (so far), Trevor Bauer opted to sign with the Diablos Rojos del Mexico of the Mexican League. The former Los Angeles Dodgers star continues to let his play on the field prove why he believes that he deserves another opportunity in the majors.

Although some may say that Trevor Bauer is letting his performances on the field do the talking for him, the former Cy Young Award winner has never been shy. In a recent video on his social media accounts, Bauer broke down an impressive strikeout from one of his recent games in Mexico.

“Hang It But No Bang It," Bauer wrote at the end of his strikeout video. In the video that he posted, Bauer is seen discussing his plan of attack, commentating in between each pitch. The former Cincinnati Reds ace racked up an impressive strikeout on a combination of two curveballs and a fastball.

As if discussing his plan of attack while in the moment and on the mound is impressive enough, Bauer added additional commentary. The former All-Star explained that with two strikes, he probably should have gone back to his fastball. Instead, he threw back-to-back curveballs to rack up the strikeout.

Trevor Bauer continues to put pressure on MLB teams offering him a deal

It's clear that the Mexican League is not the quality of baseball as the MLB, however, Trevor Bauer has been impressive so far this season. Less than a week ago, Bauer set a new Mexican League record by racking up a whopping 19 strikeouts en route to a 6-1 victory over the Guerreros de Oaxaca.

As pitcher injuries continue to mount, Trevor Bauer is quick to remind teams of his performances in the Mexican League. Throughout the offseason, the former Los Angeles Dodgers star said that he was willing to sign for a minimum contract, yet he found no takers.

"I’d really prefer not to go this route but if I continue being kept out of baseball as I currently am I may have no other choice. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that and I’m allowed to return to my career that was taken from me over provably false allegations that never held any merit to begin with" - @BauerOutage

Now, Bauer has made yet another bold claim, saying that he may be left with no choice but to sue the MLB. While this might be the most drastic measure possible by Trevor Bauer and his team, there is a chance that he could get desperate enough to take that step.
