Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been extremely effective since coming to LA during the offseason. Going into his Saturday start, the hard-throwing righty was 4-1 with a 2.92 ERA.
Glasnow would pick up his fifth win of the season as the Blue Crew took down the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2. He went six strong innings, giving up just one run and striking out nine before exiting the game due to cramps.
Glasnow left the game in the seventh inning after meeting with a trainer and heading to the tunnel. However, there is not much concern regarding the injury as it is just cramps.
While he left the game early, Dodgers fans are overjoyed by how well Tyler Glasnow has pitched this season. He has been an absolute gem to the starting rotation.
"He was locked in" - one fan posted.
"NL Cy Young" - posted another fan.
"6 innings of pure dominance. He’s definitely the best pitcher in baseball as of now" - posted another.
Glasnow is quickly turning into one of the most dominant pitchers in the league right now. And with Yoshinobu Yamamoto finding his groove, this team nearly looks unstoppable.
"The best" - said another fan.
"Better than Snell" - said another fan.
"Best pitcher in baseball" - said another.
If Glasnow keeps performing like this, he will certainly be a frontrunner for the NL Cy Young Award. He has been nothing short of spectacular through six starts.
This is not the first time Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow left a game due to cramping
This is not the first time Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow has had to leave a game early due to cramping. During the 2021 season, he left a game early for similar reasons.
Glasnow experienced hand cramping on his left hand that season. The same thing happened last year, during a game against the Atlanta Braves. However, Glasnow experienced a cramping right calf before reaching its way to his throwing arm on Saturday, per Jack Harris of the L.A. Times.
Glasnow has attributed the cramping to the humidity in the stadium and the fact that he sweats a lot. He is certain he knows what to do to be healthy and ready to go for his next start.
There is little worry around the clubhouse that the hard-throwing righty will miss any time.
