"He said goodnight with a hesitation" - Shane Bieber's wife Kara shares romantic tale of how she & Guardians pitcher first confessed their feelings

2020 AL Cy Young award winner Shane Bieber is gearing up to welcome his first child with his wife, Kara Maxine Bieber. Shane met her on the campus grounds of UCSB when he was playing Division 1 baseball with the Gauchos, and she was pursuing a degree in marketing.

Kara has an interest in fashion and is skilled in designing trendy clothes. Furthermore, she actively participates in various ad campaigns and photoshoots to promote some of the top brands in America.

She has a habit of conducting Monday Q and A's on social media, and in one of the stories, she shed light on the romantic tale with the Guardians RHP as a reply to a question put up by one of her followers. In the response, she wrote:

"The year was 2017.. we were about to fall asleep and he said goodnight with hesitation and silence behind it. I knew he was trying to say it. So I said, you love me. And I love you too. We laughed because we both had almost said it multiple times before. So I guess me? 😂 "

Out of college, Shane and Maxine continued dating, and after more than four years of dating and knowing each other, Shane finally proposed to her, and the couple got engaged in 2021.

They proceeded with a private and lavish wedding in Malibu, California, on January 21, 2023. They will be celebrating their second marriage anniversary in a week's time.

The couple announced Kara's pregnancy via a heartfelt video post on social media in September 2024. The caption on the post read:

"Savoring every moment of the sweetest chapter yet 💛👼🏼 "

Shane Bieber's wife, Kara, shared her expected due date

In response to a question by one of her followers, Shane Bieber's wife reflected on the expected due date of the baby boy, whose arrival is eagerly awaited by the happy couple. In the response, she wrote:

"Mentally, my due date is end of Feb - beginning of March because Mr. man will come when he decides to 🐣 "

The year is even more special for Shane as he looks to make an effective comeback to the Guardians roster for the 2025 MLB season after signing a one-year, $10 million contract extension with the franchise this offseason. The contract includes a player option for 2026.
