Paul Skenes and his girlfriend Olivia Dunne have been together since their Baton Rouge days, when they were students at LSU. Having spent so much time together, Dunne shared one personality trait of the Pirates ace that isn't commonly seen during his interviews.
Dunne was at Thursday's 2024 ESPYs event in her gold metallic dress and after posing for the cameras on the red carpet. She had a small interaction with an ESPN reporter who asked something about Skenes that people don't know.
"He's actually very goofy, believe it or not. It doesn't seem that way in interviews, but he's a goofy guy," the LSU gymnast said.
Earlier, during the same interaction, Dunne also mentioned that Paul Skenes was a good chef when it came to cooking.
In one other segment of the interview, she disclosed that a dual Sports Illustrated cover involving his beau would be iconic.
"I never even thought of that, but I think that you should tell Sports Illustrated because that would be pretty iconic," Dunne said at the event.
Halfway through the year, Olivia Dunne's popularity is only rising, topples LeBron James' son
Olivia Dunne is not just a college gymnast but so much more than that. She's the top-earning NIL female athlete ($3.9 million) and now comes in second in the combined list as she toppled LeBron James son Bronny from the second spot of NIL earnings. She now only trails Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who rakes $4.9 million in earnings.
James' son is no longer on On3's NIL rankings list, given that he was picked by the LA Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Nonetheless, it has been an eventful year for Olivia Dunne. Firstly, she won the NCAA title with her fellow Lady Tigers gymnastics team, then followed it up by featuring for the second time in Sports Illustrated's 60th anniversary swimsuit issue in May.
Her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, also started his MLB career in her presence at PNC Park in May. More so, she signed a first-of-a-kind NIL deal with a content monetization platform, Passes.
Finally, last week, she announced that she will be returning to LSU for her fifth and final year and will defend the NCAA championship with the LSU Tigers.
It means she has one more year before she leaves the college landscape and fulfills her future ambitions.
