The LA Dodgers' star pitcher, Clayton Kershaw, was suddenly pulled out of Friday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the bottom of the second inning. The Dodgers' medical staff and manager Dave Roberts approached the mound and pulled out Kershaw, who had given up three runs in an inning's work.
Dodgers Nation posted a clip of a disappointed-looking Kershaw walking off the diamond on X.

Kershaw started this season late as he only made his first appearance on July 25. He was out recovering from the shoulder repair surgery he had last November. So far this season the veteran pitcher has started six games for the Dodgers, with a 2-2 record, an ERA of 3.72, a WHIP of 1.41, and 24 strikeouts.
Dodgers' injury woes continue as Clayton Kershaw gets added to the list
The LA Dodgers have had an injury-prone season so far and with just 28 games left in the regular season, the team can't really afford to sideline any more of their stars. However, things seem to have taken another drastic turn as veteran pitcher Clayton Kershaw left the mound at the bottom of the second inning due to big toe pain.
The Dodgers' rotation was already without pitching assets like Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow, who are currently recovering well from their tricep and elbow injuries, respectively. Although, they are expected to return by the postseason. But now, they will have to wait and see whether Kershaw can be able to pitch in September and beyond.
The team is hoping that the big toe pain is just a minor discomfort and not a major injury setback and that Kershaw can return to the team before the playoffs.
