Los Angeles Dodgers sluggers Hye-seong Kim & Shohei Ohtani

KBO star Hye-seong Kim had interest from teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. He had until 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday to make his decision before his free-agent deadline expired.

Fortunately for fans of the defending champs, he has reportedly decided to wear the illustrious blue and red going forward. Per insider Daniel Kim, Hye-seong Kim and the Blue Crew have reportedly come to an agreement on a three-year deal.

The deal includes an option for an additional two years. Hye-seong Kim, Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will now be teammates and could terrorize the NL West for years to come.

This is not the best offseason news for fans of opposing teams. It feels like this club is miles ahead of all the other teams across Major League Baseball.

"How much help does Ohtani need," one fan posted.
"Muncy to Yankees," said another.
"Are there any players left for other teams to field a squad?" said another.

Fans of other teams cannot help but feel like the Dodgers are signing every good player available. Some thought they would stop after their monster offseason last year, but that has just not been the case.

"Why watch the sport anymore," said another.
"They can't be building team Asia. Stop it," said another.
"This is why I hate the MLB now. There needs to be a salary cap. It's so unfair," said another.

Some fans are tired of seeing the rich get richer in this sport. they want to see a salary cap implemented so teams like the Colorado Rockies or Milwaukee Brewers have a chance to sign elite talent.

Hye-seong Kim has been used as a second baseman and shortstop throughout his career. He is comfortable playing both sides of second base, which is fantastic as the Dodgers plan to use him in a super-utility role, per MLB insider Fabian Ardaya.

Kim is regarded as an athletic middle infielder who has the ability to make quick turns and has tons of range. He can also be a headache on the basepaths, swiping bases with relative ease in the KBO. It will be interesting to see how L.A. uses the slugger on a daily basis with all the other talent it has within its roster.
