How to use World Baseball Classic choice packs in MLB The Show 2023? Preorder, details, and more

As the new baseball season approaches, so does the latest edition of MLB The Show. The premier baseball video game series is set to be released on store shelves on March 28, which coincides with the final game of spring training. The game is already available for preorder.

However, Sony San Diego has announced yet another feature that will be available with the latest iteration of the video game series. For the first time in franchise history, the game will roster international baseball players competing in the World Baseball Classic, with the Diamond Dynasty mode being the home for all of the action.

The World Baseball Classic has been an overwhelming success, with fans across the globe tuning into the international baseball tournament in record numbers. The opening-round matchup between Japan and South Korea reached 63 million. To showcase the gravity of that viewership, the most-watched World Series game ever was 54 million in 1980.

Now, fans of the World Baseball Classic will be able to relive the best moments, dominate a themed Conquest map and win event games. Gamers will also be able to earn bat skins and unlock Flashback player items from the 2023 WBC tournament.

The Show 23 will be available everywhere on March 28, with early access available on March 24 for those who preordered the game. For fans of the video game preordering the Digital Deluxe Edition, part of the rewards will include packs from the World Baseball Classic.

Several World Baseball Classic stars will be available for the first time on MLB The Show 23

Japanese power-hitter Munetaka Murakami and young phenom Roki Sasaki will be available, as well as journeyman Marek Minarik of the Czech Republic. Other new Flashbacks will include Team Chinese Taipei star players Chieh-Hsien Chen, Li Lin and Kungkuan Giljegiljaw.

While all the new players from the World Baseball Classic are reason enough to be excited, baseball fans will also be able to represent their country with their favorite MLB stars such as Mookie Betts and Mike Trout.
