Bo Naylor part of a famous baseball family
Bo Naylor is part of a famous baseball family that includes two other siblings currently playing for major league organizations.
First, Bo’s older brother Josh, played alongside Bo in the Cleveland Guardian’s organization before being traded this offseason to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a deal that brought Carlos Santana to Cleveland.
Josh made the big leagues in 2019 with the San Diego Padres, joining the Guardians in 2020. Last season, Josh hit .243 with 31 homers and drove in 108 runs in 152 games. Over his career, Josh has accrued a 6.0 WAR.
Meanwhile, Bo’s younger sibling, Myles, is part of the Athletics organization. Myles spent last season a single-A Stockton, where he played 115 games, hitting 11 dingers and racking up 58 RBIs to go with a .192 average.
The three Naylor brothers hail from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. While still young, fans can expect great things from the brothers.
Perhaps they could even play together for the same team one day. While Bo and Josh Naylor have already played together in Cleveland, MLB.com shows that only once have three brothers played on the same team. That feat belongs to the Alou brothers – Jesus, Felipe and Matty – who suited up for the San Francisco Giants in 1963.
With Josh Naylor how in Arizona, Bo Naylor in Cleveland, and Myles Naylor in the minors, the likelihood of a reunion seems slim at this point. But there’s always the possibility that the three siblings could come together at some point.
Baseball is one of the most unpredictable sports. So, there’s no telling if the Naylor brothers could pull off one of the most interesting feats in MLB history.
