Logan Webb has a career 3.34 ERA and is sporting a 2.74 ERA this season. There are very few hitters who have dominated Webb like LA Dodgers leadoff man Mookie Betts has. And Webbs knows this, admits about it and also likes it when going up against baseball's best hitter.

On the Chris Rose podcast, Webb even went on to say that he knows Mookie Betts "owns him" from last month. It takes a lot of guts to admit such a thing and Betts acknowledged this while in conversation with fellow teammate Tyler Glasnow.

"So, for some reason -- and I know he has spoken on this -- I have no idea why when we face Logan Webb ... Logan, I truly have no idea why. But you know, you just have a guy," Betts told guest Tyler Glasnow on the "On Base with Mookie Betts" podcast. "And I'm not even saying he's my guy. I'm just saying I have no idea ... I have good stats [against Webb], and I apologize."

He further added that he likes to go against the right-hander.

The last time the two faced off was on May 15. Betts had a hit against Webb. Moreover, before that, he had a single and a home run on his April 2 start.

Last month, in conversation with Chris Rose, Logan Webb admitted the champion of the batter, Mookie Betts. He explored the matchup between the two and said the former AL MVP has an upper hand over him.

“He knows he owns me, and we’ve kind of talked about it a little bit before," Webb told Rose. “But I love facing him. You always want to compete against the best guys.”

Now that Betts is on a multi-year contract with the Dodgers, this rivalry will see a lot of matchups every time the Giants-Dodgers face Webb on the mound.

“It’s one of those things you’re going to look back one day and be like, ‘Man, it was cool that I got to play against that guy,' ” Webb told Rose. “He’s one of those special talents.”

Overall, both have faced each other 29 times. Betts is hitting .345/.367/.621, including two home runs and two doubles.
