Tampa Bay Rays left fielder Randy Arozarena shared a heartfelt farewell message for his team and fans after his trade move to Seattle Mariners on Jul. 26. The player was initially linked with a move to LA Dodgers or San Francisco Giants, but none of those deals solidified.
After four years at Tropicana Field, Arozarena has now been traded to the Seattle Mariners. In exchange, the Rays are getting outfielder Aidan Smith, starting pitcher Brody Hopkins and a third player to be named later.
After moving to T-Mobile Park, the star penned a heartfelt message for the Rays team and their fans.
"I want to greatly thank God, to the Tampa Bays Rays organization for the opportunity to have belonged to this great family and live unforgettable moments, thank you to every fan for your unconditional support and love, thank you to my teammates, manager, coaches, administrative staff, and journalists," Arozarena wrote on Instagram.
"I leave you my love, a big hug and many blessings. I carry you all in my heart"
Arozarena has played 100 games this season and is hitting .211, with an OPS of .712, 15 HRs and 37 RBIs. The Mariners hope he carries this form to the end of this season to help them reach the postseason and achieve their World Series dream.
