On Sunday, MLB Fits interviewed Joey Gallo, an outfielder for the Washington Nationals. In a video posted, Gallo was asked what he would do if he wasn't a baseball player.

“Probably like a man, I have no idea. I would probably be doing something with sports. I’d probably be like a PE teacher or something stupid like that. But you know, I don’t know,” Gallo said.
“I never really even thought about not playing baseball so I don’t really have many other skills other than playing baseball. Well that’s sketchy but we will see.”

In Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners, Gallo hit a home run off Bryan Woo’s 94-mph pitch, which went on to right center field. The home run went about a distance of 393 feet and had an exit velocity of 100.2 mph.

This was, however, only his fourth home run of the season. He is hitting .133 and has seven RBIs with a .571 OPS. He was signed by the Nationals in January for a one-year, $5 million contract.

Before joining the Nats, Gallo played 111 games for the Twins and had a slashline of .177/.301/.440 with 21 home runs and 40 RBIs.

The Nationals lost 9-5 against the Mariners on Sunday, marking their 28th loss of the season. If Gallo does not improve, the Nationals may trade him in the near future.

When Joey Gallo regretted his bad performance with the Twins

Before the start of Gallo’s stint with the Nationals, Joey Gallo admitted that he had a rough year with the Minnesota Twins. Gallo struggled at the plate and missed the playoffs.

"I'm at peace with what happened. I wish I performed better for the team and that city, but I am still proud of what we did as a unit," said Gallo in an interview in March.

During spring training, Gallo looked good. He defeated his former team, the Twins, 9-8. If Gallo can get back to his form like he did during spring training, that would give a massive boost to the Nationals.
