San Diego Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. is spending the offseason back in the Dominican Republic. He is enjoying his time with his family, especially his brother Elijah.

The two were recently on the beach when they questioned their philosophy and what the meaning of life is all about. After some conversation, the brothers had some new thoughts.

They realized that everyone has a purpose and life is all about finding that purpose. Elijah shared his message on his Instagram account for all his followers to see.

"We realized that life isn't just about "being happy" or "being sad." Life is much more than that. It is a journey in which what is truly important is to discover our purpose in God. That purpose, unique to each of us.." said Elijah.

The post had a great reception. Plenty were happy to see the two thinking on such a deep level, especially their mother, Maria. She could not be more proud of their mom.

"A yes and an amen to that! With their moments of joy and their moments of sadness, I love to have them as my children. I love to be their mom, I love their hearts, I love their way of having their feet on the earth, but above all, I love to know they were created by and for God," said Maria.

"And the Lord will fulfill his purpose in you! Standing firm in the Lord may not produce happy all the time but it does produce the fullness that every human being needs to have to live a holy and pleasing life to the Lord. I love you my big lice" said Maria.

Could a newfound philosophy translate into better numbers for Fernando Tatis Jr. in 2025?

Fernando Tatis Jr. is coming off a great 2024 season with the Padres. He played in 102 games this past season, hitting .276/.340/.492 with 21 home runs and 49 runs batted in.

He put up these numbers despite dealing with a stress reaction in his right femur. It cost him 59 games toward the end of the season, but he was able to return for the postseason.

Coming into the new year healthy and with a new philosophy, Tatis could be in for another great year. Do not be surprised if he crushes his 2024 season statistics.
