During the 2017 season, Aaron Judge took the baseball world by storm. He was in the middle of his first full season in the big leagues after wowing the New York Yankees front office for a few games in 2016.
He was starting to show his tremendous power and ability at the plate, and he has not slowed down since. It was the start of something special in the Bronx, and quickly became a talking point.
In the middle of the 2017 season, YES Network's Meredith Marakovitz sat down for an interview with the star slugger. It was here that fans learned Judge was the designated music guy in the clubhouse.
"We came in and we didn't have any music on. So, I was kind of getting on Hicks and CC like, 'Hey guys, we won yesterday, why don't we have any music going on?' And I think they got tired of me asking them bout music," said Judge.
Judge quickly became the man in charge of the music in the clubhouse. The interview then shifted to what the slugger's favorite artist is, and the results may shock some.
"You know, I'm a big R&B guy. So right now, I have been listening to a lot of The Weeknd," Judge said.
Judge revealed his favorite artist at the time was The Weeknd, who headlined Super Bowl LV's halftime show.

The Weeknd was not the only artist that Aaron Judge revealed was in his playlist. He also stated that he can be seen listening to Canadian pop star Justin Bieber from time to time.
"True for right now. He's been having a lot of good songs coming out lately" said Judge when asked if he listens to Justin Bieber.
That is a bit more surprising than The Weeknd, but Bieber was putting out bangers at that time. So, you cannot fault the slugger for that.
There is no denying that music plays a large part in Judge's life. Two years ago, he teamed up with the rapper Logic to make a beat at Yankee Stadium.
Logic recorded Judge's voice, and some parts of the game like wrapping batting gloves and taking cuts at the plate. The audio was cut up at the stadium and Judge used that song as his walk-out song that night.
