One fun event that many fans look forward to during the All-Star break is the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game. It is a chance for these stars in other professions to show their skills or lack of skills on the baseball diamond.

Wednesday afternoon, the league announced the roster for this year's event. This year's roster is full of former and current athletes, actors, influencers and musicians.

This is not the complete roster as more will be announced in July. However, this is quite the group and should be an exciting game with people like Pedro Martinez and Jennie Finch participating.

Despite some MLB and softball legends participating, fans are not too impressed with the list of stars. They see a lack of celebrities that are expected to attend the event:

"I think you missed the part of celebrity in celebrity softball game," one fan posted.
"Who are these people," posted another.
"How are we defining 'celebrity,'" said another.

Fans also questioned how loosely the league uses the term "celebrity." There are a few names on the list that many were seemingly not familiar with at all:

"I know of 3 whole people on this list," said another fan.
"So D List celebrities and some former/current athletes," said another.
"Am I too old or are we all thinking the same thing?" said one fan.

Hopefully for some fans, more stars will be added to this roster in July. If not, baseball fans may not seem too impressed.

While some fans view the MLB 2024 All-Star Celebrity Softball Game roster as a letdown, there are some exciting names there. One of these names includes former NFL star Terrell Owens.

Owens turned heads during his time in the league, both on and off the field. He is known for being highly competitive, so expect him to take things seriously.

Another star athlete who will be making yet another appearance is Jennie Finch. Finch led the United States women's national softball team to a gold medal in the 2004 Olympics and a silver in 2008. Expect to see her on the mound at some point in the game.

The All-Star Celebrity Softball Game will take place on July 13, just two days before Monday's Home Run Derby.
