After winning the 2024 World Series, Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated with a victory parade on Friday. All of the team's stars and coaching staff took a tour of the city on a bus met by thousands of cheering fans.

Arguably the brightest star of the bunch, the Japanese star celebrated his first ever World Series win. With the quality that the Dodgers have on their squad, a big chance of winning titles would surely have been one of the factors that Ohtani considered before joining his current team.

Now, he has gone on to win the biggest prize in all of baseball in just his first year with the organization.

Speaking to Sportsnet LA during the parade, Ohtani talked about how he felt looking at the incredible scenes as Dodgers fans came out in numbers to show their team love.

"I'm totally overwhelmed with the amount of fans that are here. It's incredible. It's been an incredible year, I'm so happy I was able to contribute. The fans, and everybody has been so welcoming," Ohtani said via a translator. [0:16]

Shohei Ohtani's incredible season get the perfect ending

Be it incredible individual numbers or titles with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a unit, Shohei Ohtani accomplished almost everything there is to accomplish in the 2024 season.

Heading into his first ever postseason after one of the best regular-season performances of all time, the Japanese star had a chance to give a near-perfect season the finish it deserved. And that's exactly what eventually happened, as the Ohtani and the Blues went on to make their way through the playoffs and eventually win the World Series.

Comfortably leading the NL in home runs and RBI for the recently concluded season, the only blemish, if one was to nitpick, would be that Ohtani marginally missed out a batting triple crown as he was unable to win the NL batting title.

Luis Arraez of the San Diego Padres ended up winning that award with a .314 batting average, while Ohtani finished second, batting .310.

The fact that this is only the first of 10 years that Ohtani is set to spend with the Dodgers makes for ominous news for rival fans. Added to that, this season featured the 30-year-old only as a hitter, and there is still a whole other side to his game, pitching, that is yet to be seen.

After delivering pretty much everything they could have hoped for in 2024, fans are hoping that Shohei Ohtani and co. can now rest well during the offseason and come back motivated as ever to run it back in 2025.
