The combination of Aaron Judge and Juan Soto has been one of the reasons for the success of the New York Yankees this season. On Sunday against the Texas Rangers, the duo hit back-to-back homers in the seventh inning, which in the end proved to be vital to the team's 8-7 victory at Yankee Stadium.

Marcus Stroman, who started the game for the Yankees, had nothing but praise for the duo. For him, their amazing performances shouldn't be taken for granted.

"I mean, it's special. I truly think we're witnessing history. I think we take it for granted a little bit, just because, you know, how incredible they are each and every day. It's easy to just kind of think that that's expected, but these guys are on; it's hard to even put into words what they're doing this year," Stroman said.
"Like I said, it almost becomes normal around here because of how incredible they are each and every day, but it's not. And what Judge and Soto are doing is truly special. It's historic, so I'm so thankful for those guys. I think it creates a lot of havoc in the lineup for opposing pitchers."

Stroman gave up just one run on four hits in five innings to pick up his first win since the All-Star break.

After splitting the doubleheader the other day, the Yankees were ready to win the home series against the AL West team.

On offense, the Yankees received a boost from the hitting duo of Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. Soto homered in the third and seventh innings, while the Yankees captain also blasted a solo shot in the seventh. Soto went 2-5, scoring two runs and two RBIs, while Judge went 3-3, scoring two runs and one RBI.

The Yankees also received an important offensive contribution from Giancarlo Stanton. The power hitter hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning.

For the Rangers, Nathaniel Lowe and Carson Kelly also blasted home runs, coupled with their offense, which capitalized on the Yankees' erroneous fielding.

However, the Rangers fell short of a run to make a comeback in the ninth inning. Clay Holmes earned the save for the Yankees.
