Trevor Bauer has lofty goals for his first season in Mexico. He has been pitching well, racking up individual records and quality performances. The former MLB player wants to win a title with the Diablos Rojos del México. That is what he is focused on, and he's not even considering what comes next at the moment.

Bauer said, via Grandes en los Deportes:

"Yes, we have talked with the teams from the Dominican Republic. Well, we haven't had any discussions about playing, but many of the teams from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Mexico have contacted me. So, right now we are counting on everyone, I won't decide anything until the end of the season. I don't want to be distracted from what's happening here."

Bauer is still pursuing an MLB return, so it's possible that he'd change his mind and defect on his Diablos championship aspirations if a team from the United States gave him a call.

He has said there's not a single MLB team with three pitchers better than him, so it would be a surprise if Bauer ignored the call to stay for the rest of the LMB season.

Trevor Bauer may have "no other choice" than to sue MLB

Trevor Bauer believes that he should be in the MLB right now. In his eyes, talent is not an issue, and the allegations against him — which never resulted in a conviction in a court of law — are behind him.

Bauer said via Fox News that he's considering his legal options, though he'd prefer to avoid that:

"I’d really prefer not to go this route, but if I continue being kept out of baseball as I currently am, I may have no other choice. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that, and I’m allowed to return to my career that was taken from me over provably false allegations that never held any merit to begin with."

Thus far, the only interest Bauer has seen from an MLB team is the Houston Astros attending his bullpen session, but nothing came of that.
