New York Mets superstar Juan Soto is enjoying some time with his family in the holiday season. On Tuesday, his brother Elian Soto posted a picture of himself on his Instagram story with Juan and their father during a Christmas dinner.
"Los Tres Mosqueteros (The Three Musketeers)," Elian captioned.
Not much is known about Juan's life outside of the baseball field, but this was a glimpse into how he is spending Christmas.
Juan is from the Dominican Republic, but he has made a name for himself in the United States. He recently signed a free agent deal with the Mets that will pay him $765 million over the next 15 years. His choice in free agency created quite the story as several MLB teams tried to secure his services.
Last season, Juan posted a .288 batting average with 41 home runs and 109 RBIs in 157 games for the New York Yankees.
Juan Soto Enjoys Special Christmas Meeting
This was not the only time that Juan Soto was seen celebrating Christmas as he was also a special guest of honor in his home country on Saturday. Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader invited some former and current MLB stars to celebrate Christmas with him at the National Palace. Soto was one of the guests, along with David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez and Marcell Ozuna.
There was more to the special ceremony than just celebrating Christmas, as Abinader also thanked the MLB players for representing their country. The president expressed hope that Soto and others can help build new educational and sporting facilities in the Dominican Republic.
Soto was an early Christmas gift to the New York Mets and their fans, but he is also spending some time enjoying the holiday season with those who are important to him.
