On Wednesday, Lindor shared a series of snaps from her time at Yankee Stadium. He uploaded his pre-game outfit while also celebrating his reunion with former hurler Marcus Stroman, who now throws for the Yankees.

Francisco Lindor homers twice as Mets crush Yankees again

The other day, the Mets defeated the Yankees 3-2 in a close game to start the Subway Series. However, what followed on Wednesday was a total domination from Mets hitters scoring 12 runs as opposed to the Yankees' three.

Moreover, the Mets made a statement by giving a hard time to their reigning Cy Young winner, Gerrit Cole, who gave up eight hits, six earned runs and two walks while registering only four strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Playing from the leadoff spot, Francisco Lindor put his barrel into work, blasting two home runs, resulting in five RBIs. Pete Alonso, Mark Vientos and Tyrone Taylor also homered once each.

Interestingly, the close game was put away when the Mets scored six runs in the eighth inning, putting any chance of a Yankees comeback to bed.

Mets pitchers put in a combined effort to only give up three runs. Sean Manaea who started the game gave up two runs in 4.2 innings. He was followed by Addam Ottavino, Danny Young and Alex Young, all of whom didn't give up a single run. The Yankees did score one in the ninth but it was all they could muster as they dropped to 60-44.
