Former New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez will turn 49 this Saturday. Currently, he's in Capri, Italy, with his two daughters, Natasha and Ella. A-Rod recently posted images from his time on a yacht, and now he has posted another set of images.
A series of photos were posted on Tuesday, which included a birthday celebration at the Italian restaurant, Aurora Capri, with Rodriguez sitting in the middle of his two daughters and a cake in front of him. In other photos, his first daughter, Natasha, can be seen singing with a live band behind her.
Natasha and Ella are the children of Alex Rodriguez and his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis. The couple tied the knot in 2002, following which they welcomed Natasha on November 18, 2004. They welcomed Ella on April 21, 2008. Soon after the couple finalized their divorce and went separate ways.
Alex Rodriguez on his fatherhood journey, seeing Natasha and Ella grow
In an exclusive interview with Distractify, Alex Rodriguez mentioned that seeing his daughters happy makes him feel like "winning a world championship every day."
"Just watching them grow up as humble, grounded young ladies with self-esteem that look at adults in the eye and put the phone away and are grateful for everything they have, [is truly remarkable]," he said. "They understand dad's history, that I come from very humble beginnings."
"There's never been a more challenging time, in my opinion, to raise kids. I'm certainly glad that neither Natasha nor Ella had all of these crazy distractions. So to watch them in such a fast-moving world to still be grounded, and centered, and respectful, it's a joy to me."
Despite having a fallout with Scurtis, A-Rod refers to her as one of his "dearest friends in the world," as the duo continues to co-parent their two daughters. Moreover, the former World Series champion found the "biggest joy" in seeing his daughters grow.
