San Francisco Giants pitcher Blake Snell has improved significantly since returning from a brief injury. Snell's girlfriend Haeley Mar also enjoyed a day out with the Giants pitcher.
Mar and Snell welcomed a baby boy earlier this year before the reigning Cy Young winner signed for the Giants. Haeley made the most of her outing at Oracle Park following Snell's dominant return to action against the Blue Jays.
Snell's girlfriend shared pictures of their newborn in a knitted sweater with the MLB team's name 'Giants' on the front and 'Snell' on the back with the pitcher's jersey number,7. She shared the post with a caption that read:
"Did my hair & make up for the first time postpartum + family day with our little Giant."
The Giants pitcher was placed on the paternity list in May as the two-time Cy Young winner geared to welcome his baby boy with girlfriend Hayley.
Blake Snell dominant in Giants' dramatic series win over Twins
Blake Snell made his best start of the season for the Giants on Sunday in the series finale against the Minnesota Twins. He went seven innings for the Giants, allowing just one hit and striking out eight hitters to shut out the Twins.
Snell is looking like his old self after a troubled start to the season that saw the veteran pitcher struggle for control and eventually miss games due to an injury. But the All-Star pitcher has got MLB on its toes as he vows to get better in the coming games.
“This year was weird,” Snell said. “I felt coming into the year I was going to be very dominant early on with just the notes I had to finish the year. As I get older, I get better, I understand, I learn quicker.
"The groin injuries were pretty annoying, and then signing late, that wasn’t fun. So there’s a lot there that made it a slow start, but I feel good. I’m just going to continue getting better.”
Despite the $62 million Blake Snell's outstanding performances from the mound, the Giants were handed a huge scare in the rubber game, as the Twins found a way back from 2-0 down to level the game in the top of the ninth.
However, Mike Yastrzemski's triple in the bottom of the ninth turned into a little league home run after Brooks Lee's throwing error as the Giants walked it off to seal a dramatic series win.
