Two-time World Series champion Corey Seager and his wife, Madisyn, headed out for a romantic dinner date night at the exact spot where the duo went after getting engaged five years ago.
The couple are high school sweethearts who, after years of dating, took the next step when Corey went down on one knee during a New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts on December 7, 2019.
Madisyn took to her Instagram account to share some snaps from the romantic date night. Her caption for the stories were as follows:
"On the way to meet my guy for dinner at the same place we went after he proposed almost five years ago."
"Drooling (And all dairy free!!)."
"My whole heart."
The couple met for the first time while studying at the same high school—Northwest Cabarrus High School—in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
After graduating, Madisyn achieved a bachelor's degree in business administration as well as a certification in personal selling from ECU, while Corey had initially agreed to play D1 baseball with the South Carolina Gamecocks but turned it down when the Dodgers picked him in the 2012 MLB draft.
The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding affair at Saddle Wood Farms in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on December 5, 2020. She is Corey's biggest supporter in his endeavors both on and off the diamond.
Corey is a shortstop who is currently playing for the Texas Rangers after signing a ten-year, $325 million deal in 2021. Before moving to Texas, he played in Los Angeles from 2015 to 2021.
Madisyn and Corey Seager enjoyed an impromptu date night in NYC
After a washout day on Friday, the first game of the Rangers vs. Yankees series was shifted to Saturday to be played as a double header. Corey made the most of his day off as he embarked on an impromptu date night with his wife, Madisyn.
Madisyn is an avid baseball fan who is present inside the Globe Life Field during Rangers games throughout the season. The couple owns two small, old Australian Shepherds together.
