Madisyn and Corey Seager took a break from the MLB trail to relax and enjoy a date night at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas on Thursday. Madisyn took to social media to share some snaps of her before the fun, one of which featured the Texas Rangers shortstop.
The 2024 ACM Awards saw a host of celebrities in attendance, and Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton were the biggest headlines of the evening, coming away with three awards each.
With the Seagers making the most of a rare Rangers day off, the focus for the World Series MVP will now be switching to baseball. The Rangers face the 16-28 LA Angels on Friday, and at 23-23 and second in the AL West, Texas will look to assert its dominance early on.
Corey Seager was a presenter at the 2023 Country Music Association Awards
After winning the World Series and the WS MVP last season, Corey Seager was big news around the USA. Seager presented an award at the 2023 Country Music Association Awards in November and was congratulated for his accomplishments by many in attendance.
Two such people were Brian Kelley and Parker McCollum, as per MLB.com:
“Congrats on winning the championship, and winning your second World Series MVP,” Kelley and McCollum said as Seager took the stage.
Seager spoke to Billboard in 2018 about his love for country music, and discussed his previous walk-up songs:
"I’ve done Chase Rice “U-Turn.” I’ve done a Kane Brown song, I did Dustin Lynch last year. I’m not sure what I’m going to do this year, but I need to figure that out, actually. [Laughs] Tomorrow’s opening day."
This season, Seager walks up to Nate Smith's "Bulletproof" (via WFAA). The Rangers superstar has been performing slightly below his career average of .290 (.238) and will be looking to add to his 38 hits, 18 runs, 16 RBIs and 5 home runs against the Angels.
