Mallory Swanson, the wife of Dansby Swanson, won the gold with the USA women’s soccer team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. It was the USA’s fifth overall gold medal and first since the 2012 London Olympics, and the first for Mallory.
Rose Lavelle, girlfriend of Atlanta Braves pitcher Max Fried, shared photos with the Chicago Red Stars striker on Instagram, posing with the US flag and celebrating the achievement with teammates.
“Gold with the gals!!! 🥹💙🇺🇸,” Lavelle wrote after their Olympic final victory.
Swanson also shared congratulatory messages from teammates and friends on her story, expressing their love and support for her.
“The women’s soccer team were some of the dope people I’ve ever met. And so fucking inspiring. How badass to live the rest of their lives knowing they’re Olympic gold medalist 🤯 their kids kids kids will talk about this accomplishment,” Camille Olivia Fishel, American fashion model and friend of Mallory wrote on her story.
Throughout the tournament, Mallory Swanson scored four goals. On Saturday, she scored the decisive goal against Brazil, leading to a 1-0 and securing gold for the team.
Mallory Swanson celebrates her husband’s MLB feat
When Mallory Swanson was busy leading the Team USA in Paris, the Chicago Cubs star and her husband, Dansby Swanson, reached a career milestone in MLB. On Saturday, he went 2-for-4 against the Chicago White Sox, winning the game 3-1 and entering the 1000 hits club in his ninth professional season.
Amid her victory celebrations, Mallory took to Instagram to congratulate him on his feat, captioning:
“1000 career hits 👏🏽 Proud of you always ❤"
Dansby also celebrated her wife's historic feat.
“In God’s beauty and brilliance, he can take something that’s so devastating and create something even more amazing than one could ever imagine,” Swanson said, per MLB.com.
“It’s just a testament to her and her gratitude, her joy, her love, grace -- any positive attribute you can come up with -- just how she’s handled every bit of this is amazing.”
The day couldn’t have been better for the Swasnon couple as one achieved a personal MLB milestone, while the other marked herself in history, making the whole nation proud.
