The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated the 2024 version of the Filipino Heritage Night during their series finale against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, attracting thousands of fans for the special event.

Over the years, LA has made it a tradition to honor the heritages of multidues of fans in the city, and it has been a huge hit. As it celebrated the Filipino community on Thursday evening, LA sold over 23,000 special event tickets among their diverse fan base. Here's a look at some photos from the night:

It was a night that celebrated all things Filipino at Dodger Stadium. The evening started with the National Athem being sung by Hollywood actress and singer Tia Carrere.

While Carrere is a native of Hawaii, she's proud of her Filipino descent. That was followed by a ceremonial first pitch thrown by actor Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned Leeds in the Marvel Comics Universe movies and is also of Filipino descent.

Apart from the special appearances from celebrities of Filipino descent, there were many other attractions for fans to enjoy, starting with the special event tickets with which the buyer recieves free special jerseys.

Moreover, there were also several items of Filipino cuisine available for fans in the stands. Some of the food items included a special edition Lumpia Bucket, along with longaniza and various cakes and breads with Filipino-themed recipes.


Dodgers become first team to reach 80-win mark on Filipino Heritage Night

While fans enjoyed all the attracttions of the 2024 Filipino Heritage Night, the Los Angeles Dodgers recorded a 6-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles to take the series on the final game.

It also marked their 80th win of the MLB regular season, making them the first team to reach the mark this year.

Third baseman Chris Taylor, who was also celebrating his 34th birthday, put the Dodgers on the board with a RBI single in the second inning.

Austin Barnes' two-run double and a Mookie Betts RBI single in the fourth gave them a 4-0 lead on the night. The Orioles fought back with a three-run homer from Colton Cowser.

However, it was'nt enough, as Tommy Edman sacrifice fly in the eighth secured the win for LA. Next up, the Dodgers travel to Phoenix for a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
