LA Dodgers catcher Will Smith enjoyed the Thanksgiving festivities with his family which added one more member after the World Series. Smith's wife Cara gave birth to daughter Layton Elizabeth on Oct. 22.
Smith is coming off an incredible year. It started with the LA Dodgers signing him to a 10-year $140 million extension. Smith hit .248 along with 20 home runs and 75 RBIs in the regular season. He then won his second World Series while also expanding his family.
On Sunday, Will Smith posted three photos, one with his family of four, one of his firstborn daughter Charlotte and with all his relatives in the last one. In the first photo, the Smith family posed in coordinated outfits.
Smith wore a gray plaid button-up shirt layered over a black shirt and paired it with gray pants and black-and-white sneakers. Cara was dressed in a cream oversized knit sweater, brown-and-black plaid mini skirt and brown suede knee-high boots. Charlotte wore a cream sweater and brown ankle boots.
Their newborn daughter Layton was wrapped in white clothing, likely a onesie for warmth and comfort.
Will Smith's wife Cara gives major props to Dodgers' "ladies" for their partners' World Series triumph
On their way to winning the World Series, the Dodgers' stars were well supported by their wives and girlfriends behind the scenes. The Dodgers' ladies were in attendance every postseason game whether in Chavez Ravine or on the road.
After winning the World Series in Game 5 at Yankee Stadium, the group posed for a photo which was later posted by Cara, with words of praise.
"From opening day until the very end of postseason… here are the ladies behind the boys in blue!!" Cara wrote in her caption. "The bond is one of the most special and honestly very hard to describe! New faces and old faces each year, we all step up for each other in ways that only we know how!
"Celebrating our guys, each other and also being shoulders to lean on when things aren’t going how we thought! This past month has shown me how truly amazing this particular group is…a family away from family🫶🏼🤍," Cara captioned on Instagram.
The Smith family should enjoy the offseason with nothing to worry about concerning contracts, arbitration and other stuff since the Dodgers locked Will Smith up for good. They can say they are lifelong Dodgers as the catcher's contract will see him through his age-39 season.
